Privacy
Yaska is designed to show buyers enough location information to shop locally without publishing a seller’s exact home location.
Information Yaska uses
Yaska may store account information such as your email, public display name, seller bio, settings, listings, listing photos, messages, support requests, and sign-in records. Authentication providers may also return a name, email, avatar, and provider account identifier when you choose social sign-in.
Location privacy
Your public listing location is a broad city, area, or region. Yaska does not intentionally publish an exact Canadian postal code. If you enter a full Canadian postal code into a public-area field, the marketplace reduces it to a broader region before publication.
If you tap Use my current area, your device supplies coordinates for a one-time area lookup. Those coordinates are sent to a geocoding service to translate them into a nearby city or region; Yaska stores the resulting area rather than displaying those precise coordinates on the listing.
Messages
Marketplace messages are stored so the buyer and seller can continue a conversation across devices. Messages may also be used when needed to investigate reports, protect users, enforce marketplace rules, or troubleshoot the service.
How information is used
Information is used to operate accounts, publish listings, provide search and AI features, deliver messaging, remember settings, respond to support, prevent abuse, and improve Yaska. Account email is not used as a public seller field.
Service providers
Yaska relies on hosting, database, authentication, AI, storage, geocoding, and other technical providers to operate. Those providers may process the information required to perform their service.
Your choices
You can control your public name, public area, seller bio, default selling preferences, and notification choices from Account. For access, correction, or deletion requests that are not yet available as a self-service control, use Help & Contact.
